New way for gadgets to repel water

P2i's Ion Mask

Trying to keep our gadgets save from water is often an annoying problem with few solutions. You could purchase a case for it but that still sometimes doesn’t always solve the problem. Enter P2i’s Ion Mask. This company first originated in Defence Science and Technology Lab in England and soon could be providing for better waterproof solutions for our gadgets.

Basically, the Ion Mask is this invisible coating that is chemically bonded to whatever device you choose and then it repels the water from entering the device. You can even choose to protect individual parts more throughly if you wish. Otherwise, they are all protected at the same level. This idea was used for used to repel toxic vapors and toxic liquids from soldiers uniforms. Additionally, this idea could be incorporated into athletic shoes.

As of now, there are three leading phone makers that are in talks about possibly using this piece of technology for their future phones. I, personally, can’t wait until something like this is perfected and ready for public use.
