New JVC in-car CD receivers include iPod controls
The trend towards iPod integration in and around the car continues with the new range of CD receivers from JVC, who have just announced three new additions to the range:
- KD-PDR40 CD for $149.95
- KD-G340 for $119.95
- KD-G140 for $99.95
At the top of the range the KD-PDR40 has a front auxiliary input and provides full iPod control from the radio which offers cable, wireless remote and MP3/WMA. With “MOSFET 50 watts x 4, and front and rear pre-outs with switchable rear sub out” this will pump out some serious noise.
The KD-G340 is iPod ‘ready’ and is also satellite-radio and HD-Radio ready, and offers Bluetooth capability.
The KD-G140 has front auxiliary input, wireless remote, and MOSFET 50 watts x 4, 3-band IEQ.
They are all shipping this month. While its nice to see direct iPod integration, its also nice to have the front auxiliary input, which means you can also play your other portable media players, such as a Zune and still get a nice clear sound.
