JerkStopper: Power cord “cable retention†for your laptop
Section: Computers, Laptops, Gadgets / Other
While Apple may have the fancy MagSafe connector to help avoid the notebook being dragged of that table after someone trips over your power cord, the JerkStopper seems to do just the opposite. The JerkStopper acts as a “cable retention device” by securing your power cord from coming unplugged from your notebook. It is designed to make sure the power cord does not get damaged should someone pull it to hard.
The JerkStopper is available in a few variations, one to fit in a spare USB port, RJ11 or RJ45 jack. You plug the jack into your notebook, then run the cable through the JerkStopper and close it in with the cover. They are available in sets of 3 for the low price of $9.95. Its a good thing they are inexpensive, this way you will have more money left over to repair that damaged notebook. Because these seem to ensure that your notebook will take a tumble should someone trip over the cord.
