Brown Zune selling like hotcakes at Toys ‘R’ Us
How do you make people get off their butts and go Black Friday shopping? You could discount a laptop or a TV, that’s one way, or you could make the not so popular Brown 30GB Zune on sale at a very low price. That’s just what Toys ‘R’ Us did, the original 30GB Brown Zune was selling for only 80 bucks!
CNN was reporting that in Manhattan, it was very crazy at Toys ‘R’ Us, and if I was in need of a PMP, I probably would have tried to buy one of these Zunes.
“It definitely was very hectic in the beginning, due to the Zune being on sale,†said Gianni Incontro, an employee based in the corporate headquarters in Wayne, N.J., who was helping out at the Times Square location.
The Nintendo Wii was also very popular, but it was no match for the 80 dollar Zune. Also, reports indicate that it took only 30 minutes for the Zune to be out of stock. Either way, this was a very good deal and I hope something like this happens again in sales to come.
