Google to add AIM into Google Talk?

AIM is possibly the most popular method of instant messaging available and is currently used by many, especially teens. Gmail is also used by many and the same with Google Talk, so it would make sense that Google would try to incorporate the ever popular AIM into their Google Talk and Gmail service. A screenshot showing how AIM would be incorporated into Google Talk and Gmail has recently surfaced online, it comes from a newer version of Gmail which is still in testing.

Two years ago, Google had bought 5% of AOL and part of the agreement mentioned “enabling Google Talk and AIM instant messaging users to communicate with each other, provided certain conditions are met.” So all signs point to AIM being added to Google Talk and Gmail sometime in the near future.
